JIM SWEENEY of Fort Worth Texas (What issue of Physique Pictorial would be complete without its usual quota of Texas models?) age 20, Ht 6'2" 195 lbs, Chest 40 relaxed, 43.5 expanded, waist 33, biceps 13", thighs 23.25, calf 16, neck 15.25, .
At the time these shots were taken Jim had had no experience with barbells or weight training though he has since begun a course and has promised to take some new shots showing his latest progress when he again visits the AMG studios in Los Angeles. He has always been active in all forms of outdoor physical activities, played football at TCU and one season at East Texas State Teacher's College. He recognizes that his arms are comparitively slender in comparison to the rest of his body, so he intends to do many curls, presses etc with both barbells and dumbells since these two simple exercises are the best known to cause rapid increase in arm size.
Now studying industrial arts at college, he may become an industrial designer. He has also considered being a professional football player. But should Hollywood demand him, he'd forego these other plans. Photo by AMG. Their catalogs YT13 pages 17 thru 22 inclusive: 60 cents.

LLOYD CHILDERS, Age 16 Ht 5'6" Wt 130. Though having no present desires to use weights or engage in active bodybuilding, Lloyd is a strong advocate of good healthful living and physical betterment. He is a hard worker at anything he does, be it work, play, or study, Though not massive in size, his body is powerpacked and agile. He's an expert at diving, swimming, and waterskiing. This particular photo was not posed shot but rather just a natural position Lloyd happened to fall into while resting from some other more formal shots, and since Physique Pictorial readers are always specifically requesting that we print more natural and relaxed shots, we trust this one will please.
Most young fellows Lloyd's age have made few definite plans, but he has already begun to study for his life's career: to be a doctor, a general practitioner. He likes people, and likes to help others.
